Hōp, a Cambodian restaurant run by former Red Hook Tavern staffers, is launching a pop-up series featuring dishes like grilled beef skewers and fried noodles. This will take place at Hometown Bar-B-Que's event space throughout August 2023. Co-owners Bun Cheam and Cait Callahan are collaborating with Billy Durney for the restaurant, which will officially open in late 2025. Separately, Chef Masaharu Morimoto is debuting MM by Morimoto in Montclair, New Jersey, offering a blend of Japanese and Western cuisine, including sushi and steaks, opening on July 31, 2023.
