Staten Island will have a new quality assurance (QA) team to enhance express bus reliability. The team will enable quick repairs for minor issues like belts and lights, reducing lengthy service disruptions. In June, over 500 express bus trips were canceled, affecting thousands of commuters regularly using these services. Borough President Vito Fossella initiated this program after meeting with MTA officials due to declining service quality.
