"He's recovering, and obviously he'll be missed, but on the road to recovery,"
Rookie running back Cam Skattebo underwent surgery Sunday night for a dislocated right ankle suffered in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The procedure in Philadelphia was treated as an emergency because it involved an open dislocation, and team officials reported that all went well. Skattebo has been discharged from the hospital and will begin rehab immediately. The injury is season-ending and a recovery timeline was not disclosed. Medical personnel from both teams treated Skattebo on the field after his right foot was visibly facing the wrong direction; he was removed on a cart with his foot in an air cast. Skattebo thanked hospital staff, family, friends, and teammates in a social-media post and said he will return.
