The group of scientists working on this project felt the jarring impact of political interference but resolved to continue their work. With newfound encouragement and support from various partners, they pivoted to reinterpret their project as an independent, energized effort to advocate for the understanding of nature's role in America, displaying resilience and determination amid challenges.
