Boy viciously thrown from Mall of America balcony by deranged stranger is now thriving
Briefly

Landen Hoffmann, who was only 5 when a stranger threw him from a third-floor balcony at the Mall of America, is now an 11-year-old thriving boy. His mother, Kari Hoffmann, described his recovery journey as one filled with miracles, though it required extensive treatment over three years due to severe injuries, including damage to his frontal lobe. Landen spent four months in intensive care, underwent more than a dozen surgeries, and had to relearn much of his personality. They recently visited the hospital to thank the staff that cared for him during his ordeal.
"It was a big, long journey. So many miracles happened," said Kari Hoffmann, reflecting on her son Landen's long road to recovery after the tragic incident.
"It took time for him to be back to him... He had to learn who he was again," Kari shared, discussing the emotional impact of Landen's traumatic experience.
