Wicklow woman (22) banned from keeping animals for 30 years
Briefly

Sarah Cullen pleaded guilty to four offences under the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 at Arklow District Court. Judge David Kennedy imposed a 30-year disqualification from keeping animals, a €500 fine, and ordered payment of €2,620.35 in ISPCA costs. Evidence from ISPCA chief inspector Conor Dowling revealed that, during an inspection, the dogs were found in poor condition, highlighting the Collie's skeletal state. While the inspector sought access to a Retriever pup, Ms. Cullen obstructed him and exhibited aggression, threatening to harm his employment.
Inspector Conor Dowling described Ms. Cullen’s dogs as being in poor condition, noting that the Collie was alarmingly light and referred to her as 'a bag of bones.'
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the Collie's weight was just 7.5kg, despite having returned for vaccination two years earlier, indicating ongoing neglect.
