"I am writing to inform you that the Committee on Admissions and Financial Aid cannot at this time make a final decision on your application for a place in next year's entering class. However, because of your outstanding achievements and promise, the committee has voted to place your name on a waiting list."
"I just want to say, my dad and I have been checking the mail for 17 years, it's happening, Pops. We're going to Harvard."
Sam Kiki, a professional poker player known as "Señor Tilt" and CEO of MonkeyTilt, created a viral Instagram Reel by reading aloud a Harvard waitlist letter from March 31, 2009, that he had kept for 17 years. In the video, he humorously announced his eventual arrival at Harvard, stating he and his father had been checking the mail for nearly two decades. The clip generated significant social media engagement with supportive responses from followers. Kiki subsequently delivered an on-campus lecture and poker game with Harvard's Undergraduate Poker Club on April 24-25. His journey included studying neuroscience at Amherst College and involvement with the Academic Coaching Services Foundation in Las Vegas.
