Polish city of Białystok has placed an order for 30 Yutong U12 electric buses through Busnex Poland, the local distributor. This follows the delivery of 20 Yutong E12 electric buses in 2023, which are currently in service on the city's public transport network.
The new buses will be delivered in the fully low-floor U12 version with three doors and a capacity of up to 95 passengers. Standard equipment includes automatic air conditioning, a 360-degree camera system, and an advanced driver warning system for potential hazards.
As part of the contract, the city will also receive 25 depot charging stations and 3 mobile charging stations, which will be installed across three depots. The company will also provide training for drivers and technical staff.
Marcin Kucharski, CEO of Busnex Poland, states: "This is already the second major contract signed with the city of Białystok. The first, signed in September 2022, concerned the delivery of twenty zero-emission Yutong E12 buses. Delivered in the second half of 2023, these buses have successfully operated on Białystok's public transport routes."
