The director of the Laboratory and Blood Bank stated that two-thirds of donated blood units are unusable. The daily requirement for blood is 400 units, yet the ongoing Israeli attacks and constraints have left hospitals overwhelmed. Many individuals who try to donate are found to be unfit due to poor health from insufficient nutritious food availability.
