W. Va. couple had their dream Halloween wedding in Salem
"In the company of family and friends, they've spent the week here on the North Shore, touring the area while they sat out the three-day waiting period to pick up their marriage license. They said 'We do' this morning while Jay Willet of WBZ captured the ceremony for radio and television. The wind howled a gusty gale, but everyone stayed grounded and shared the love. Congratulations!"
"We got engaged back in the spring [and] pretty quickly decided we should get married on Halloween. It's our favorite holiday,"
"It was pretty cool to be able to pull it off. There were moments where I didn't think it was going to happen in Salem."
Thaddeus and Danielle Martin traveled from West Virginia to marry on Halloween at Salem Willows. The bride wore a black dress, black veil and carried black and red flowers. Penny Richards, a Justice of the Peace, posted about the ceremony and a photo. The couple spent the week on the North Shore while waiting three days to pick up a marriage license. Jay Willet of WBZ captured the ceremony for radio and television. Strong winds blew during the vows but family and friends remained grounded and celebrated the couple's joyful, spooky-themed wedding.
