Mass. Residents Debate In Office Work Vs Remote Work | WBZ NewsRadio 1030
"I'd rather be on my own and keep to myself and be able to do my job correctly,"
"Being in my own setting and not having to deal with crappy people,"
"I don't make that much. I also enjoy the routine of being out of the house,"
"Make that sweet cash. I have five kids, so I need that money,"
A poll asked workers whether they prefer remote-work flexibility or twice the pay to return to the office. A projection estimated more than 32 million Americans would work remotely by 2025. Results showed more workers favored the flexibility of working from home than a doubled salary. Some respondents cited solitude and better ability to do their jobs without dealing with difficult coworkers. Other respondents said lower pay and a desire for routine motivate an office return. Parents facing inflation and higher living costs said higher office pay is necessary to support their families, including a mother of five.
