Campus security removed Blexit members after the group attempted to join Hampton University's homecoming during an "Educate to Liberate" HBCU tour. Blexit is affiliated with Turning Point USA and planned visits to 10 HBCUs to promote conservative values, critical thinking, and conversations on campuses. A Blexit member claimed the university silenced the group for political reasons and for representing conservative and Christian values. Hampton University said Blexit did not complete required vendor applications or pay fees, noted 18 of 36 vendors were approved, and cited notification and public safety procedures to control campus visitors.
