Kyiv not to force Ukrainian refugees to return - but hopes they will
Briefly

As the war in Ukraine extends into its fourth year, the country is reevaluating its approach towards the 4.8 million Ukrainians who have sought temporary protection in Europe. With the protection period now extended until March 2027, officials like Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov emphasize the urgency of maintaining connections with these citizens. The government plans to establish "Unity Hubs" abroad to provide essential services while also fostering an enduring Ukrainian identity, regardless of whether citizens decide to return home or stay abroad.
