She said she had never been able to share her sexuality publicly because it was not the right time, citing being too young and being forced to be perfect. She described fear that bisexuality might be treated as a fad and worried that honesty would be seen as joining a trend. She said she has dated women but has not yet fallen in love with a woman. She stated she was more into women than men but lacked the courage to fully invest emotionally. She said writing the memoir prompted her to declare “I am bisexual” out loud for the first time.
