Giant Lake Emerges at 24th and Mission After Water Main Break In Public Works Project
Briefly

A significant water main break at the 24th and Mission Muni stop has caused flooding and confusion for riders. The incident occurred after a backhoe struck an unmarked water main during construction work on the bus pad. Public Works confirmed the flooding led to a temporary halt in their infrastructure improvement project. The Water Department was quickly notified, repaired the break, and restored water service. Although the water has cleared, confusion remains as to how passengers can board buses at that location, raising questions regarding communication from SFMTA.
