The Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in San Francisco will present Stephen Sondheim's final musical, Assassins, a one-act 'revusical' that interweaves the stories of nine individuals who assassinated or attempted to assassinate U.S. Presidents. The production combines Sondheim's masterful lyrics and music with a provocative narrative that addresses America’s complex relationship with celebrity and violence. Scheduled performances include three dates in late May 2025, with tickets priced at $20 for adults and $10 for students. The show features explicit themes, including gun violence and historical content.
