Notre Dame de Namur sells Belmont campus to University of California
Briefly

Notre Dame de Namur University (NDNU) has announced a deal to sell its 100-acre Belmont campus to the University of California (UC). As part of the agreement, UC's investment arm will lease the facilities back to NDNU for five years, allowing time for UC to plan its use of the property and for NDNU to seek new locations. NDNU President Beth Martin expressed optimism about the future and the preservation of the university's mission. UC sees this investment as strategic due to the campus's location near Silicon Valley, which they believe will benefit all parties involved.
"We are delighted to have found in UC Investments a responsible and mission-aligned steward for our beautiful and historically significant campus property," NDNU President Beth Martin said.
"UC Investments moved quickly to explore this unique investment opportunity close to the heart of Silicon Valley," said Jagdeep Singh Bachher, UC's chief investment officer.
