Daly was convicted by a Yancey County jury on March 19 on charges of trafficking cocaine and possession of cocaine. Superior Court Judge Alan Z. Thornburg sentenced her to a minimum of 70 months and maximum of 93 months in prison, plus a $100,000 fine for trafficking. She received an additional probationary sentence of six to 17 months for the possession conviction.
