West Ham sign Walker-Peters on free transfer
Briefly

Kyle Walker-Peters has joined West Ham United on a free transfer after leaving Southampton. The 28-year-old full-back has signed a three-year deal, having earned two caps for England. His previous team, Southampton, faced relegation last season, leading to his departure after 202 appearances. Walker-Peters considered offers from Besiktas but chose West Ham after discussions with manager Graham Potter. He expressed admiration for Potter's coaching style and the club's ambition to win trophies. West Ham has also made other signings this summer, including defender El Hadji Malick Diouf and securing Jean-Clair Todibo's permanent move.
"He is a player I've always thought highly of and been impressed by whenever he has faced one of my teams," said West Ham manager Graham Potter.
"I spoke to Graham Potter and he was a big, big part of me making the decision," said Walker-Peters. "I've always liked his style as a coach, and I think it will suit me well."
