Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 in October, meaning no more security patches or technical help unless paid. Users of Microsoft 365 currently running Windows 10 are urged to upgrade to Windows 11. Security updates for Microsoft 365 apps will be available for three more years, until October 10, 2028. Feature updates will only be available until August 2026 for home users and until October 13, 2026 for businesses. Enterprise users will have access until January 12, 2027.
Microsoft will continue to offer security updates for Microsoft 365 apps in Windows 10 for three more years until October 10, 2028.
Individuals and families will be able to install security updates directly through the account screen in any of the Office apps.
Feature updates for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers on Windows 10 will last until August 2026.
Organizations in the monthly enterprise channel can receive feature updates until October 13, 2026.
