"The report draws on responses from approximately 1,250 U.S. app-business leaders. According to the findings: 90 % of respondents believe the app ecosystem is strong. 93 % say they are confident in their business's growth. 94 % report that the ecosystem makes it easy to create and launch apps. These results indicate that among the population sampled, a large majority of app-business leaders view the infrastructure for mobile application development and distribution as effective and enabling."
"The report also provides insight into how developers evaluate the major app stores - including the Apple App Store and Google Play. Participants reported that: 96 % of the app-business leaders using Apple's App Store and Google Play say the tools offered by those platforms help them succeed. 93 % say app stores help them find customers. 93 % also report satisfaction with the app stores available. Half of respondents (50 %) say that publishing apps to more stores would raise their costs. Together these findings suggest that for many businesses, the existing distribution platforms are effective and that expanding to multiple stores may bring added complexity or cost."
