The CEO of a key SpaceX rival says customers are drawn to his company because it's 'even-keeled'
Briefly

Rocket Lab, a rival to SpaceX, emphasizes its stability and focus on building rockets and satellites, appealing to public and private sector clients. CEO Peter Beck highlighted that their approach differentiates them from competitors amid the ongoing feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Beck noted no significant data indicating that the feud impacts Rocket Lab’s business decisions or discussions, and remarked on the company’s growth and achievements. Rocket Lab, although smaller than SpaceX, has successfully launched 67 missions and deployed over 230 satellites, with plans for further developments.
Peter Beck emphasized that Rocket Lab is viewed as a stable and focused public company that solely builds rockets and satellites, attracting both governmental and commercial clients. "It's fair to say that folks, both government and commercial, come to us and they know that they have a very even-keeled public company that just builds rockets and satellites, and executes against that and nothing else," Beck stated.
Beck remarked on the absence of significant data linking Musk and Trump's feud to Rocket Lab's business impact, noting no increased frequency of Musk in their discussions. He stated, "I haven't seen any 'obvious' data point about the impact of the ongoing disagreement about Trump's spending bill."
Regarding Rocket Lab's operational size compared to SpaceX, Beck mentioned that while they are smaller with approximately 2,600 employees, their achievements illustrate their updated role in the space industry. Rocked Lab has completed 67 launches and deployed over 230 satellites.
