'60 Minutes' gains stability with an esteemed new producer - Poynter

Well, those particular fears appeared to be put to rest Thursday when CBS named Tanya Simon as the executive producer of "60 Minutes." Simon is the daughter of the late Bob Simon, a longtime correspondent of the program.
