Strictly's La Voix reveals surprising link to Britain's biggest jewel heist
"I was booked to do two men who wanted to be made to look older, and I was told it was for a music video,"
"We started doing things you could do with latex and all the ageing makeup,"
"I thought, 'That's those two men that I did the make-up on yesterday!'"
In 2009 La Voix worked as a theatrical makeup artist in Covent Garden and was hired to age two men allegedly for a music video. She spent four hours applying liquid latex, skin-altering techniques and wigs and was paid £450. The two men, later identified as Aman Kassaye and Craig Calderwood, then went to Graff Diamonds on New Bond Street, drew handguns and forced staff to clear cases containing approximately £40 million of gems. The disguises meant they did not obscure themselves from CCTV. La Voix recognized them in a newspaper image and police seized makeup items for DNA testing; the men were later arrested after a mobile phone was found in an abandoned getaway vehicle.
