Season three mainly took place in Koh Samui with some scenes in Bangkok. White expressed a desire for a different setting from crashing waves on rocks and suggested there is room for more murders at White Lotus hotels. Shooting is expected to begin next year and HBO's Four Seasons partnership has not been renewed.
