Tom Daley, former Olympic diver and knitting champion who hosts The Game of Wool, joined Celebrity Traitors as one of 19 celebrities. He was selected as a Faithful and tasked with identifying Traitors but was eliminated in episode two by Cat Burns, Alan Carr, and Jonathan Ross. Daley believes producers removed contestants who might have worked things out and felt annoyed at not being chosen as a Traitor because he prefers control as an athlete. Early elimination prevented him from competing in later challenges after a strong performance pushing a 2.5-ton Trojan horse, and he requested consideration from producers for future opportunities.
