"There are those things in nature that look really dangerous: white water rapids, craggy cliffs, slippery logs that are the only way to cross a deep ravine. Then there are things like quicksand that goes undetected until hikers are hip deep and unable to emerge, the undertow on a scenic beach that a swimmer didn't plan for, a Strawberry Poison Frog which looks bright and adorable until it kills a human with only a drop of its venom. Angelica is one of these hidden dangers. She seems attractive, bubbly, and innocent until you're too far in and then, oh boy, you are fighting for your life."
"It all starts when the crew goes to their first of two wineries, and everyone around the table is talking about how they've mended their personal squabbles. Venus and Marcus are bosom buddies again. Kim is so glad that she and Natalie have made up that she starts crying. Jason tries to have a similar moment with Angelica, but in her confessional, she says she'll never be comfortable with the identical cousins because she knows what they've done together."
"After that nice moment of trying to move on, when the whole group gets together for a picture, Angelica says, "Come here, little man," to Jason. This is one of Angelica's most annoying traits. She makes these remarks to be like, "Oh, but I'm joking," when she's really not; she's trying to be mean, but has a cover. It's the same thing as the penis pump. Later, her straightening iron doesn't work, and she says, "It's limp like Shayne's dick," which is supposed to be a joke, but one to shame and embarrass someone else."
Hidden dangers in nature include obvious and covert threats like quicksand, undertows, and a deadly-looking Strawberry Poison Frog. Angelica embodies a covert threat by presenting as attractive, bubbly, and innocent until relationships become deep and harmful behavior emerges. Several cast members have displayed dark behavior, but Angelica is portrayed as especially toxic. A winery scene shows reconciliations around the table while Angelica remains distrustful of identical cousins and uses feigned jokes to deliver cruel barbs. Her remarks, such as belittling Jason and comparing a broken styling tool to a private body part, shame and embarrass others.
