"Sunny Hostin pointed out, He pardoned Binance founder Changpeng CZ' Zhao, who pled guilty to money laundering and his family struck a $2 billion deal in partnership with him in a crypto venture. The Trump family has made about $1.8 billion profited off of this government and he said that Joe Biden didn't know who he was pardoning using an autopen. How come you don't know who this guy is? Because he used an autopen!"
"The co-hosts then pivoted to talk about Trump saying ICE raids haven't gone far enough, when Hostin reached across the table to hand a blue notecard to Goldberg. What the hell? What? Goldberg said as Alyssa Farah Griffin exclaimed, I love when Sunny passes notes! Goldberg read the note under her breath, saying, We don't know if Trump used an autopen to pardon before looking up and declaring, It was a joke!"
"Goldberg made a show of ripping up the note card into tiny pieces as she said, Well, I'm sorry. The hardest thing about this job now is no one understands nuance. You know when you hear a joke, when somebody's fooling around, when they're not saying something specific. Especially on this show! I'm very specific when I'mpointing stuff out. When I'm making jokes you know when I'm making jokes! This is ridiculous."
Whoopi Goldberg grew irate when Sunny Hostin cautioned her about referring to President Donald Trump using an autopen to pardon Binance founder Changpeng 'CZ' Zhao. Trump told 60 Minutes he did not know who CZ was despite granting the pardon. Hostin noted CZ pled guilty to money laundering, that his family struck a $2 billion crypto partnership, and alleged the Trump family profited about $1.8 billion from the government. Hostin handed Goldberg a note; Goldberg read it, called the autopen line a joke, ripped the note up, and complained that viewers no longer understand nuance.
