"The Toronto Maple Leafs welcomed Joseph Woll back to the team this past weekend and on Monday morning he hit the ice with fellow Maple Leaf goaltenders Anthony Stolarz and Cayden Primeau. Brad Treliving ( via David Alter) noted that Joseph Woll has skating regularly over the past couple of weeks and there isn't an intention to immediately include him back on the Leafs' roster. A Marlies conditioning stint hasn't been ruled out and is a likely outcome as well."
"Joseph Woll was retroactively put on the long term injured reserve on October 23rd back to the start of the season. That requirement alone would keep Woll ineligible for a return to the Maple Leafs active roster until the November 1st game against the Flyers at the earliest. And while that return seems unlikely, the Leafs do have back-to-back games on the November 8th and 9th weekend which could be the target for Woll rejoining the Leafs."
Joseph Woll has been skating regularly after missing training camp and the season start. No immediate recall to the Maple Leafs active roster is planned; a conditioning stint with the Toronto Marlies is likely. Woll’s retroactive placement on long-term injured reserve to Oct. 23 renders him ineligible for recall until at least Nov. 1. Late-October and early-November Marlies games could host a conditioning assignment, with the Leafs’ Nov. 8-9 back-to-back weekend a plausible target for roster reentry. Cayden Primeau and Anthony Stolarz are expected to split upcoming starts, and Primeau would likely be placed on waivers upon Woll’s activation. Woll played 42 games last season with a .909 save percentage and 0.413 GSAA/60.
