Police said the 81-year-old pedestrian was hit in a crosswalk by an SUV travelling through on a green light."
"The man was taken to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, but his condition has since stabilized, said police. The 53-year-old driver of the SUV remained at the scene. Anyone with information or video evidence is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers."
