"Recognized as a National Scenic Byway for its stunning views, the Kancamagus Highway runs 34.5 miles from the town of Lincoln toward Conway. As the route cuts west-to-east across the state, it passes through the heart of the scenic White Mountain National Forest. Highway pull-offs provide views of the White Mountains and access to sites like Sabbaday Falls and Rocky Gorge."
"There's no place like the East Coast in the fall. The Kancamagus Highway is a 34.5-mile National Scenic Byway running west-to-east from Lincoln toward Conway through New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest. Highway pull-offs provide White Mountain views and access to Sabbaday Falls and Rocky Gorge. The Lincoln (west) end features Loon Mountain and the Hobo Railroad; the east end lies near Cranmore Mountain Resort, the Conway Scenic Railroad, and local restaurants. The roadway is open year-round but is most spectacular in fall when roadside trees turn vivid yellow, orange, and red, drawing millions of visitors. Numerous trailheads off the highway include Sabbaday Brook Trail, Lincoln Woods Trailhead, and the Boulder Loop Trail.
