Boy admits throwing seat off Westfield's top floor
Briefly

A teenage boy threw a seat from the top floor of a shopping center in east London for an internet prank, narrowly missing shoppers below. The boy, along with another youth, was arrested after a video went viral. The 15-year-old who threw the seat pleaded guilty to criminal damage and recklessly causing a public nuisance at Stratford Magistrates' Court. He has been bailed until a sentencing hearing. Previous stunts included throwing objects from bridges at trains, and a Westfield security officer reported unease among customers since the incident.
Prosecutor Elizabeth Ajayi said the chair, which was worth 500, was thrown from the top floor. "It's fortunate that nobody was injured," she said.
The boy who threw the seat told police: "It's not that deep, it did not hit no-one," the prosecutor added.
