"A 22-year-old suspect, an Afghan national, was Tasered and arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. One male witness saw him running with blood on his hands after hearing screams coming from the street. The suspect came to the UK in a lorry in 2020, the Home Office said. He was later granted asylum and leave to remain in 2022. Officials added that he was not staying in an asylum hotel or any other Home Office accommodation."
"I called my brother to come and have a look and then he called the police, and then whilst we were on the phone to police that's when the dog walker came from the alleyway. He literally walked from the alleyway not knowing what he was about to walk into. As soon as he got in front of a house the man with the knife sort of pushed him over, literally in front of our house, and then got on top of him."
"Mr Broadhurst had reportedly been walking his dog at the time of the incident and was treated by paramedics for stab wounds but died at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said. A 14-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with knife wounds while another man, aged 45, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries. The suspect was taken to hospital as a precaution before being taken into police custody."
A 49-year-old dog walker, Wayne Broadhurst, was killed and two other men were seriously injured in a triple stabbing on Midhurst Gardens, Uxbridge, at around 5pm. A 22-year-old Afghan national was Tasered and arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. Witnesses reported hearing screams and a man running with blood on his hands. The suspect arrived in the UK in a lorry in 2020, was granted asylum and leave to remain in 2022, and was not living in Home Office accommodation. Paramedics treated victims at the scene; the suspect was taken to hospital as a precaution before custody. Next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
