In a tragic incident in Dagenham, 76-year-old Robert Price died from injuries sustained in a fire ignited by fireworks. Nathan Otitodilchukwu, 18, and a 16-year-old have pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Although Otitodilchukwu did not throw the firework himself, he was part of the group that initiated the fire. The Old Bailey heard that a group threw a lighted flare into Price's home, leading to his death from inhalation of smoke and burns. Sentencing is scheduled for May, following delays from the initial hearing date.
A Romford teen has pleaded guilty to manslaughter after a 76-year-old man died from a fire caused by a firework being thrown into his home.
Nathan Otitodilchukwu, 18, previously of Crow Lane in Romford, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, with a 16-year-old also admitting his role in the incident.
