Musk's language was abhorrent, says home secretary
"Whether you're a hostile state or a hostile billionaire no one gets to mess with British democracy."
"Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die."
"He doesn't use language sensibly, he is deeply irresponsible, deeply dangerous."
"Elon Musk doesn't care about the British people or our rights. He only cares about himself and his ego."
Elon Musk spoke by video link at a London rally, criticising uncontrolled migration and warning that violence was coming, urging people to fight back and calling for a change of government, dissolution of Parliament, and a new vote. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood described his language as abhorrent and said no one gets to mess with British democracy. Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey called Musk's language irresponsible and dangerous and said British democracy was too precious to be a plaything for foreign tech barons. More than 150,000 attended the march organised by Tommy Robinson, with around 5,000 at a counter-protest.
