UK sanctions Russian cyber spies accused of facilitating murders

The British government imposed sanctions on 18 Russian military intelligence officers, alleging involvement in cyber reconnaissance operations that led to numerous civilian deaths in Ukraine. This sanction includes three GRU units and targets specific officers connected to hacking Yulia Skripal’s personal device prior to an assassination attempt using Novichok.
