A data breach involving a spreadsheet containing personal details of almost 19,000 Afghans seeking refuge in the UK was leaked by a Ministry of Defence official. The leak was uncovered in August 2023, revealing names and contact information of individuals at risk from the Taliban. As many as 100,000 people, including family members, may be impacted.
