Two Massachusetts men were arrested by FBI Boston special agents and Harvard University Police in connection with an explosion shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday at the Goldenson Building on Longwood Avenue at Harvard Medical School. An officer arrived to find two people fleeing the building but was unable to stop them. Emergency crews found smoke, burn marks, and debris in a fourth-floor hallway; the Boston Fire Department's arson unit reported the explosion appeared intentional. Boston police searched for additional explosives and found none. University leaders reported no injuries, no structural damage, labs and equipment intact, and cleaning crews preparing the area for the work week. Photos of two masked suspects were released, and the FBI said further details will be provided at a 1 p.m. press conference with the U.S. Attorney's Office.
