A 61-year-old man died after being drawn into an MRI machine at Nassau Open MRI in New York while wearing a large weight-training chain around his neck. The incident occurred as his wife was undergoing a scan for her knee. While he approached her, the machine's powerful magnetic force pulled him in, leading to a tragic outcome. Emergency assistance was sought, but the attempts to free him were unsuccessful. The man passed away the following day.
Adrienne Jones-McAllister recounted the devastating moment her husband approached her MRI room, wearing a 20-pound weight-training chain when the machine suddenly pulled him in, resulting in a tragic accident.
She recalled frantically urging the technician to turn off the MRI machine and call for emergency help as her husband went limp in her arms, unable to escape the machine's grip.
