Scottie Scheffler dominated The Open Championship, finishing with a score of -17 and winning by four strokes. He started strong with a second-place 68 in the opening round, followed by an impressive 64 in the second round, and scores of 67 and 68 in the subsequent rounds. Just before the tournament, Mike Francesa expressed doubts about Scheffler's potential to win on a links course, suggesting that Jon Rahm would perform better. However, fans noted the stark contrast between Francesa's predictions and Scheffler's actual performance.
I do not think he is going to dominate yet on a links course. He has not been on a links course that many times in his life. His best finish has been eight; but I just don't think he's gonna win this major here.
Couple of things jump out at me. Number one: I just think [Jon Rahm's] gonna play really well. I haven't been on Rahm all year. I haven't been on Rahm the last two years.
