The Forsyth County sheriff's office confirmed that authorities responded to a call about a burglary at a home owned by the rapper, legal name Gloria Hallelujah Woods, around 1.30am on Saturday.
During their investigation, deputies smelled marijuana and called a drug taskforce, who found a significant amount of marijuana in a bedroom closet.
Woods was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, and voluntarily surrendered to Forsyth County authorities on Tuesday.
Sheriff Ron Freeman stated that the homeowner is a victim of a serious crime and emphasized the commitment to bringing the suspects to justice.
