Robocalls Fall Since May, Up Since Last June: Report

In June, U.S. consumers received over 4.4 billion robocalls, a 7.6% decrease from May and an 8.2% increase from June 2024. The daily average was 148.8 million robocalls, with a corresponding rate of 1,722 calls per second. Scam calls decreased by 10%, while telemarketing calls fell 1.2%. A total of 28.2 billion robocalls were recorded in the first half of the year, marking a 10.6% increase from the same period in 2024. Unwanted robocalls constitute approximately 58% of total calls received each month, with consolidation loan calls being notably problematic.
