"The plow truck traveled through the median, breaking through the cable rail and into the eastbound lanes,"
A Colorado Department of Transportation plow truck lost control on I-70 just east of Loveland Pass, crossed the median and struck an eastbound Ford Transit van. The van, carrying nine people traveling to a Littleton, Colo., tournament from Southern California, was knocked down an icy embankment. Driver Manuel Lorenzana, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene. Five children and three adults received treatment; one adult declined medical care. The Santa Clarita Flyers players met after the crash, decided to continue playing in honor of the families affected, and won the Western Girls Hockey League 12U title in overtime.
