A UK F-35 stealth jet has been stranded in India for over a month after it encountered bad weather and engine issues. The jet landed on June 14 at Thiruvananthapuram airport and was unable to return to its carrier, HMS Prince of Wales. As India is not part of the F-35 program, concerns have arisen regarding the security of the advanced technology within the aircraft. Repair work is ongoing, with experts suggesting diplomatic efforts are underway to address the situation and safeguard the aircraft's technology.
Given the extraordinary capabilities and advanced technologies on these F-35 jets, you really don't want it sitting in a country that isn't cleared to access knowledge about those capabilities.
There'd be a lot of diplomatic action in the background with the Indians to ensure that the security of that aircraft is paramount and that there aren't efforts to exploit that.
