"The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states explicitly that no one may be elected president more than twice."
During a press gaggle on Air Force One, Donald Trump refused to rule out a 2028 presidential bid in response to Steve Bannon's claim that "there is a plan" for him to seek another term. He dismissed the idea of running as vice president as "too cute" and suggested voters would object. He named Marco Rubio and Vice President JD Vance as viable Republican options while criticizing Democrats and women of color such as Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. He said he felt politically and physically capable to run and noted his campaign is selling "Trump 2028" merchandise. The 22nd Amendment bars election to more than two presidential terms.
