U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Buffalo arrested Aurelio Lopes-Vasquez and Jesus Flores, both Mexican nationals convicted of violent felonies. Lopes-Vasquez, 44, was convicted in Brooklyn of sexual conduct against a child in May 2024. Flores, 49, was convicted of manslaughter in the Bronx in 2018 and had been deported from the U.S. multiple times. Both entered the U.S. illegally without inspection and are currently detained by ICE pending immigration proceedings, awaiting removal from the country.
Aurelio Lopes-Vasquez was convicted of sexual conduct against a child and acting in a manner to injure a child in Brooklyn on May 16, 2024.
Jesus Flores was convicted of manslaughter in the Bronx in 2018 and had been deported from the U.S. in 2009, 2012, and 2014.
Both men entered the U.S. illegally at unknown dates and locations without inspection by immigration officials.
Both individuals are currently in ICE detention awaiting removal from the country.
