The U.S. government has dismissed charges against Dr. Michael Kirk Moore, a Utah plastic surgeon, who was accused of disposing of COVID-19 vaccines and providing fake vaccination cards. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the dismissal was in the interests of justice and that Moore did not deserve the potential prison time he faced. The charges included conspiracy to defraud the government and aiding in the illegal disposal of vaccine doses worth over $28,000. Moore's trial was set to begin in Salt Lake City, but the dismissal interrupted the proceedings.
Dr. Moore gave his patients a choice when the federal government refused to do so. He did not deserve the years in prison he was facing. It ends today.
Such dismissal is in the interests of justice.
A federal grand jury returned an indictment against Moore, alleging more than $28,000 of government-provided COVID-19 vaccine doses were destroyed.
They were also accused of providing fraudulently completed vaccination record cards for over 1,900 doses of the vaccine.
