Project 2025's creator calls neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes a "friend" of Republicans - LGBTQ Nation
""Most importantly, the American people expect us to be focusing on our political adversaries on the left, not attacking our friends on the right," Roberts said. "I disagree with, and even abhor, things that Nick Fuentes says, but canceling him is not the answer either.""
"Fuentes has said that "the GOP is run by Jews, atheists, and homosexuals," has described Adolf Hitler as " really fu**ing cool" and said "perfidious Jews" must " be given the death penalty " after "we take power," ."
""If you sit there with someone who says Adolf Hitler was very very cool, and that their mission is to combat and defeat global Jewry, and you say nothing - then you are a coward and complicit in that evil.""
Kevin Roberts called Nick Fuentes a friend of Republicans and defended Tucker Carlson's interview with Fuentes. Roberts described critics as a "venomous coalition attacking" Carlson and said "their attempt to cancel him" is "sowing division." Roberts argued the American people expect focus on political adversaries on the left rather than attacking "friends on the right." Roberts expressed disagreement and abhorrence for some of Fuentes's statements while opposing cancelation. Nick Fuentes has promoted antisemitic and white nationalist rhetoric, including claims that the GOP is run by Jews and praise for Hitler, and has advocated violence toward Jews. Sen. Ted Cruz condemned silence around those statements as cowardly and complicit.
