He departed Tokyo after North Korea test-fired a nuclear-capable cruise missile but remained focused on meetings, including addressing an APEC CEO summit and meeting South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in Gyeongju. South Korea planned to honor him with a replica gold crown and the Grand Order of Mugunghwa. Trump said a South Korea trade deal would be finalized soon, highlighted collaboration on shipbuilding, expected to resolve many problems with Xi, and suggested tariffs tied to fentanyl could be lowered.
