Trump Re-Ups Jarring All-Caps Warning to Pregnant Women: DON'T USE TYLENOL UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!'
"Trump posted to Truth Social Sunday afternoon: Pregnant Women, DON'T USE TYLENOL UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, DON'T GIVE TYLENOL TO YOUR YOUNG CHILD FOR VIRTUALLY ANY REASON, BREAK UP THE MMR SHOT INTO THREE TOTALLY SEPARATE SHOTS (NOT MIXED!), TAKE CHICKEN P SHOT SEPARATELY, TAKE HEPATITAS (sic) B SHOT AT 12 YEARS OLD, OR OLDER, AND, IMPORTANTLY, TAKE VACCINE IN 5 SEPARATE MEDICAL VISITS!"
"That post came several days after Trump first announced in a press conference that the main ingredient in Tylenol, acetaminophen, can be associated with a very increased risk of autism, when taken during pregnancy. Taking Tylenol is not good. It's not good. For this reason they are strongly recommending women limit Tylenol use during pregnancy, Trump said as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy looked on. Trump added that women shouldn't take it during the entire pregnancy."
President Donald Trump posted that pregnant women should avoid Tylenol unless absolutely necessary and should not give it to young children. He urged breaking up the MMR vaccine into three separate shots, taking the chickenpox shot separately, delaying hepatitis B until age 12 or older, and spacing vaccines across five separate medical visits. He previously claimed that acetaminophen taken during pregnancy can be associated with a greatly increased autism risk and said women should avoid it for the entire pregnancy. Johnson & Johnson, maker of Tylenol, stated that acetaminophen is the safest pain reliever for pregnant women and that rigorous research shows no credible evidence linking it to autism. Trump's post linked to a Daily Caller piece alleging the FDA ignored internal reports about potential Tylenol risks.
